About LiveX AI

LiveX AI builds the human–AI interface for the physical world. Our vision — pursued in partnership with NVIDIA on the AI City initiative — is AI that meets people where they are: walk up, have a face-to-face conversation, and get help with the decision in front of you, whether that is in a store aisle, a hotel lobby, a hospital, an airport, or a stadium. Our 4K full-body AI agents speak 140 languages, show products in 3D, give interactive instruction, and run on-premises or in the cloud. They are already live with Walmart, PUMA, the NFL Super Bowl, and others.

We are one company behind every layer — IP design, hardware, interaction, enterprise AI agent, and deployment — so the experience works as one product, not five vendors. Our two form factors, Gateway (freestanding, life-size) and Portal (wall-mounted, shelf edge), carry the same experience and the same content. We are an early-stage startup based in Palo Alto.

About the Role

You will own how LiveX looks, feels, and works: the characters people meet on the screen, the interactions they have with them, and the way we introduce LiveX to the world. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with exceptional visual craft and the range to work across product experiences, brand and campaign work, motion, 3D, and interactive prototypes.

This is a hands-on role on a small team. You will take projects from early concepts to finished assets, polished interfaces, and working web prototypes, and partner with engineering to bring them into production. You bring a clear creative point of view and take ownership from concept through delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Design the human–AI interface. Design the user flows, interfaces, and interactions for Gateway and Portal — touch, voice, and content on a life-size screen, used by people walking up on a noisy store floor or in a hotel lobby, not sitting at a desk.
  • Shape our characters. Work on the look and presence of our 4K digital twins and branded characters — a customer's mascot, house expert, or licensed talent — and how they move, gesture, and present products.
  • Bring products to life in 3D. Build product renders, scenes, and animations for 3D product display on our screens, and for launches, advertising, and product pages.
  • Create motion and video. Produce motion graphics and edit product films, demos, and event videos from raw footage to final delivery.
  • Lead visual design for campaigns and launches. Create key visuals, posters, trade show graphics, social assets, and on-screen content for our displays.
  • Build working prototypes. Translate interactive concepts into web demos using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, then partner with engineering to develop them into product.
  • Develop AI-assisted creative workflows. Combine generative image and video tools with professional design and 3D production tools to deliver high-quality work fast.
  • Contribute original ideas. Propose campaign concepts, product features, and new ways for people to interact with AI in the physical world.
  • Maintain a consistent brand. Carry one cohesive visual identity across on-screen, print, digital, video, and 3D.

What You'll Bring

  • 5–8 years of professional product design experience, with visual design as a core strength and a track record of shipped UX/UI work.
  • Early-stage startup experience (seed to Series B, under ~50 people): you have owned design end to end with no design team behind you.
  • A strong portfolio of published advertising work, including campaigns, posters, and key visuals.
  • Proficiency with generative image and video tools, and sound judgment about when to use them.
  • Advanced skills in professional design, motion graphics, and video editing tools.
  • Solid 3D skills across modeling, lighting, materials, rendering, and animation.
  • Hands-on experience in motion design, video graphics, and editing.
  • The ability to independently build small web projects and hand them off to engineers. Experience with modern front-end frameworks or real-time 3D on the web is a plus.
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools for design and prototyping is required. Design taste, visual craft, and product judgment remain our most important hiring criteria.
  • Initiative, creative ownership, and a clear point of view on product and design.
  • The ability to work on-site in Palo Alto, with current residence in or willingness to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Experience We Especially Value

Digital human or virtual avatar experience is strongly preferred. We will prioritize candidates with hands-on work in character design, real-time avatars, lip-sync, or performance capture.

Other valuable experience includes:

  • Game art, game UI, or real-time 3D engine work.
  • UX/UI design for touchscreens, voice interfaces, or large-format displays.
  • End-to-end ownership in a startup or small team.

Why This Role Matters

Every LiveX deployment is judged in the first few seconds by what a person sees on the screen. The character, the interface, and the content are the part of the stack the public actually meets. You will define that layer for a company that builds all five, with a direct line to the CEO and the room to set the visual standard for how people experience AI in the physical world.

How to Apply

Send your resume and portfolio to career@livex.ai, including: advertising or campaign work; 3D renders, animation, or motion design samples; and at least one web project you built yourself, shared as a live link or code repository.
