About LiveX AI

LiveX AI builds the human–AI interface for the physical world. Our vision — pursued in partnership with NVIDIA on the AI City initiative — is AI that meets people where they are: walk up, have a face-to-face conversation, and get help with the decision in front of you, whether that is in a store aisle, a hotel lobby, a hospital, an airport, or a stadium. Our 4K full-body AI agents speak 140 languages, show products in 3D, give interactive instruction, and run on-premises or in the cloud. They are already live with Walmart, PUMA, the NFL Super Bowl, and others.

We are one company behind every layer — IP design, hardware, interaction, enterprise AI agent, and deployment — so the experience works as one product, not five vendors. Our two form factors, Gateway (freestanding, life-size) and Portal (wall-mounted, shelf edge), carry the same experience and the same content. We are an early-stage startup based in Palo Alto.

About the Role

You will own the end-to-end customer experience of LiveX across hardware and software — from the moment someone notices a Gateway or Portal on a store floor to the moment they walk away with their question answered. You set the experience quality standards, identify the gaps between what we ship and what the experience should be, prioritize the fixes, and drive design and engineering to deliver polished launches.

This is a hands-on role on a small team, and it demands a proactive working attitude: nobody will hand you the list of what is wrong — you go find it. The product exists and is live with customers; your job is to make it excellent and make every launch land. You will spend time in front of live deployments, with the people who walk up to them and the customers who buy them, and turn what you see into a ranked plan the team executes. You work directly with the CEO, who owns product, and with the founders who lead AI and engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end customer experience. Treat the hardware (Gateway and Portal: screen, camera, microphones, speakers, mounting, installation) and the software (character, conversation, touch and voice interface, 3D content, enterprise AI agent, admin portal) as one product with one experience, not a hardware spec and a software backlog.
  • Set the experience quality standards. Define what good looks like at every step of the journey — approach, greeting, conversation, product display, handoff, recovery from errors — and put measurable standards behind it: response latency, recognition accuracy, conversation completion, uptime, time to install.
  • Identify the gaps. Visit live deployments, run walk-up tests, review conversation logs and customer feedback, and audit every new build against the standard. Keep a living list of what is broken, rough, or missing, ranked by impact on the customer and the end user.
  • Prioritize the fixes. Turn that list into a sequenced roadmap. Make the calls between fixes, polish, and new features, and defend them with evidence from the field.
  • Drive design and engineering to delivery. Write clear specs and acceptance criteria, run the product review cadence, remove blockers, and hold the team — and yourself — to the bar. Know when good enough is not.
  • Drive launch readiness. For every product release and every customer go-live: readiness checklist, go/no-go, on-site or remote acceptance, day-one monitoring, and fast post-launch fixes. Nothing reaches a customer floor without your sign-off that it is polished.
  • Close the loop with customers. Partner with sales, deployment, and customer success so field issues become product fixes and product fixes become customer updates.
  • Be the voice of the user across the stack. Represent the person standing in front of the screen across all five layers of the LiveX stack — IP design, hardware, interaction, enterprise AI agent, and deployment.

What You'll Bring

  • 4–8 years of product management experience, including several years on products that combine hardware and software — devices, kiosks, robotics, consumer electronics, in-store or in-venue technology.
  • Early-stage startup experience (seed to Series B, under ~50 people): you have owned a product end to end with no product team behind you.
  • A track record of taking a product from working to polished — launches you drove where quality, not scope, was the deliverable.
  • Product judgment for physical, walk-up experiences: touch, voice, and large screens in public spaces, used by people in a hurry who did not read a manual.
  • Experience with AI or conversational products, and a clear method for defining and measuring quality in a system whose output is probabilistic.
  • The ability to write crisp specs, acceptance criteria, and readiness checklists, and comfort working from data — logs, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Field orientation: you go to the store, the lobby, or the stadium, and you have run site acceptance yourself.
  • Credibility with engineers and designers: technical enough to debate tradeoffs, design-literate enough to tell finished from unfinished.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in your own work — analysis, prototyping, writing — is required. Product judgment and a high quality bar remain our most important hiring criteria.
  • A proactive working attitude is required. You notice the gap before anyone reports it, raise it, propose the fix, and move it forward without waiting to be asked. We will not hire a reactive operator into this role, however strong the resume.
  • Ownership and a clear point of view on what the product should be.
  • The ability to work on-site in Palo Alto, with current residence in or willingness to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Experience We Especially Value

Launch or quality ownership for a hardware-plus-software product deployed at scale in retail, hospitality, healthcare, or venues is strongly preferred. We will prioritize candidates who have personally owned launch readiness across many sites.

Other valuable experience includes:

  • Digital human, avatar, voice assistant, or conversational AI products.
  • Hardware programs: build validation, manufacturing partners, installation, and field service.
  • End-to-end product ownership in a startup or small team.

Why This Role Matters

Every LiveX deployment is judged in the first few seconds by the person who walks up to it. Because we build every layer ourselves, there is no vendor to blame when the experience falls short — and no vendor standing between us and fixing it. You will be the person who makes sure the whole thing feels like one finished product, every time it ships, with a direct line to the CEO and the authority to hold a launch until it is right.

How to Apply

Send your resume and a short note on one product you took from working to polished — what the gaps were, how you prioritized them, and how the launch went — to career@livex.ai.
